Kid” teamwork for director George Roy Hill in Oscar’s best picture of 1973, a devilishly entertaining comedy. The stars play Depressionera con artists determined to swindle a vicious gangster (Robert Shaw). The music, adapted by Marvin Hamlisch from Scott Joplin’s ragtime tunes, also earned an Academy Award. Charles Durning and Ray Walston co-star.
