“Movie: Reminiscence”

Lisa Joy made her directorial debut with this 2021 neo-noir sci-fi thriller, set in a bleak near future ravaged by climate change. Hugh Jackman stars as Nick Bannister, who uses technology that can access the memories of other people as he searches desperately to find a woman (Rebecca Ferguson) who has vanished without a trace just as their relationship was blossoming. Thandiwe Newton also stars.
